What types of full deck presentations I can create using Presentations menu?

There are 3 types of full deck presentations that you can create: Text, Text & Image, Text & Charts.

How does the Mic option work?

While using the Mic, the recording is saved on your Google DriveTM Audio folder inside Slides Mate AI. The audio is next sent to OpenaI and transcripted text is returned.

How does the Import Selection work?

First, you need to select the desired text or textbox container inside your Google SlidesTM presentation. Click on the double arrow icon and your text is imported.

How can I access older full deck presentations?

Presentations created using Slides Mate AI are saved on your Google DriveTM Slides Mate AI folder.

What type of actions can be performed on Text?

This works pretty much like chatting with the AI. Simply record, import or type your text and the action that you'd like to perform using that text.

Can I create charts?

Charts are only available for full decks presentations and are currently in Beta version. Create & Enhance only reads and draws insights from your Spreadsheet data.

Are my images saved somewhere?

Images created using Slides Mate AI are saved on your Google DriveTM Slides Mate AI/Images folder.

Do I need an openAi api key to use Slides Mate AI?

Yes, an api key is required to communicate with open ai.

How does the "language" option works?

Output is correlated with selected language. Even if input is in a different language, the ai will always try to deliver the answers in selected language.

What is the difference between personal and organization account?

This refers to your GoogleTM account type. Slides Mate AI identifies your account type based on email domain. However, since you can have a custom email without being in an organization, you can update this option in Settings.

For organization account the maximum script runtime is of 30 mins while for personal account the maximum script runtime is of 6 mins.

If you have an issue with Slides Mate AI, try taking these steps to troubleshoot the issue:

  • Try closing the add-on (clicking the x button) and opening it again
  • Try refreshing the webpage
  • Try using an incognito browser
  • Try using an incognito browser
  • Try using a different browser - sometimes a browser extension like an adblocker can cause issues.
  • Sign out of other accounts - sometimes google services can have an issue if you’re signed in to multiple google accounts. Try signing out of your other google accounts, or sign in to 1 google account in a different browser
